AEFA is a Biocontrol Coalition as Supporting member

At AEFA , we are dedicated to driving positive changes in agriculture and promoting sustainable practices. For this reason, we recently wanted to join Coalition Biocontrol as a national association as a Supporting Member.

The objective of AEFA's institutional support to the Biocontrol Coalition is none other than to join forces to promote biocontrol and sustainable agricultural practices throughout Europe. In this sense, both the Biocontrol Coalition and AEFA share a certain objective of promoting the use of biocontrol solutions and their inclusion in the work program of the EU Commission 2024-2029.

At AEFA we are proud to work with stakeholders across the agri-food chain to advocate for a rethinking of the EU framework for agriculture and food, with a focus on biocontrol innovation.

In the words of Camino García , General Director of AEFA : «The objectives of the Biocontrol Coalition are in line with the goals of AEFA and represent the concerns of the industry. We consider it important to be part of this initiative that brings together the different actors in the agricultural sector and that must be able to communicate the needs and demands of the sector to Europe."

Biocontrol Coalition already has several leading European agribusiness companies among its founding members, such as Los Aphea.Bio, Atlántica Agrícola, Certis Belchim, Diachem, Evergreen Garden Care, Lallemand Plant Care, Rovensa Next and Syngenta among others.

The EU regulation needs a change in its strategy with the aim of promoting the commercialization of effective biological control products , while guaranteeing human health, food safety and environmental protection,

Agricultural biocontrol solutions are an innovative tool to contribute to plant protection of crops that guarantees sustainable, efficient and differentiating food protection.
