Our self-watering planters are made up of two containers, plus a space in the lower area that serves as a water tank. This is where some polyester wicks are located (inside the planter) that are in contact with the substrate and, therefore, with the roots of the plants. In this way, the plant is taking the water it needs for its optimal development.

As you already know, most plants love the sun. However, the substrate and roots enjoy it less. This is why the double walls of BERBERIS planters provide 100% effective thermal protection for the roots. Since, between wall and wall, there is a free space that allows isolating the roots from excessive heat.

INDOOR: In the event that the planter is installed indoors, the plug must be placed to prevent water from falling to the ground when you water.

OUTSIDE: The cap must be removed in case of outdoor installation, because in case of rain, excess water is not retained in the planter. Thus, once the water tank of the planter has been filled, excess water is evacuated, without flooding the roots of the plants.
