Lidl USA recently announced the expansion of its outdoor Garden Center concept to 76 stores across the supermarket chain's US network. According to the company, Lidl Garden Centers will have a wide variety of flowers, plants, substrates, pots, planters and other gardening accessories.
For its expansion plan, Lidl has partnered with local family-owned nurseries, which will supply plants and flowers to the centers closest to its farm.
Lidl's Garden Center concept was piloted in 2022 on Long Island, New York in partnership with Gabrielsen Farms, a local business that grows perennials, edible plants and shrubs. In 2023, the concept expanded through other Lidl stores in New York, and this year the new outdoor section will be available in more than 75 of the chain's stores.
Tammy Roberts , Buying Director of Vegetable at Lidl US said: "We are excited to bring the Lidl Garden Center concept to even more customers this year.
